MINNEAPOLIS, August 14, 2012 – Better Oats, an innovative instant oatmeal brand made by MOM Brands™, has announced its RAW Pure & Simple Pomegranate was named a “HIT!” by Supermarket Guru Phil Lempert in his weekly “New Products Hits & Misses” segment. Lempert gave the innovative instant oatmeal flavor a rating of 95 out of 100, calling out that the “flavor and aroma add just the right touch” to a delicious and nutritious breakfast.

All of Lempert’s reviews for “Hits & Misses” – that airs on hundreds of national TV stations and online – are based on eight criteria: taste, value, health, ingredients, preparation, appearance, packaging and sustainability. The pomegranate flavor – made with real fruit, 32 grams of whole grains, flax seeds, and organic quinoa and barley – received a perfect score in six of the eight criteria. Lempert also praised the built-in measuring cup feature of the pouch, making it “easy and convenient” for cooking.
